Site Diagramming

My next step was to determine the primary and secondary circulation that happen within the context. The Orange represent the Senior path of travel whether by bus or walking from senior housing. While the yellow represent the youth that is scatter over the surrounding neighborhood. This allow me to pin point the main vertical circulation that occur within the structure and allowing me to configure the program around the circulation . At the same time allowing me to re-enforce the idea of creating a dynamic fluctuation(interweaving) of program interaction, such as the library, recreational and the youth program across the horizontal band of elderly program. Which will become my next programmatic study to tackle.

  1. I would come back to this idea of how the community uses the space you are designing. How does the project invite people to the architecture / landscape and how does the space around interact with the project. In a world where people have fewer reasons to come together than ever before due to technology, you had better have one incredible outdoor and indoor place for people to interact and communicate. I like the tectonic construction language you are using for materials being interconnected, this same idea could be simply applied to how nature / exterior space becomes integrated with the interior. The ground plan will be the most important part of your project in my opinion.
Hope this helps and realize I spent about 30 seconds looking at your project.
